Frame Guards

The Frame Guards shield complete frames from damage caused by forklifts and other material handling equipment, preventing structural issues like denting or bending that can compromise the safety. They help extend the lifespan of racks by reducing wear and tear, lowering repair costs, and improving overall safety by maintaining the integrity of the racking system.

  • How are they Useful?
    • Protectors are essential for warehouses with high forklift or other material handling equipment movement, especially near aisle ends or in high-impact zones. If racks have previously sustained minor damages, these guards help prevent further issues by shielding the frames from collisions, improving safety, and reducing repair costs.

  • Where are they Installed?
    • Frame guards are strategically installed at high-impact locations, such as the ends of each rack row and in high-traffic areas.
  • Types of Frame Guards:
    •  U-Shaped Single Frame Guard — Designed for use when the first beam level is positioned at 200 mm or higher. This guard is installed offset from the upright so that the load beam does not interfere with it. It is typically used on exposed single frames in active operating areas.
    • U-Shaped Double Frame Guard — Also suitable when the first beam level is positioned at 200 mm or higher. Installed offset from the uprights, it protects two adjacent frames at once, provided the distance between the frames is 250 mm. If the spacing is greater, single frame guards must be used instead.
    • L-Shaped Single Frame Guard — Applicable when the first beam level is placed at 400 mm or higher. This guard is installed flush with the upright, which means the load beam cannot pass through that zone. It is used on exposed single frames in areas with frequent handling operations.
    • L-Shaped Double Frame Guard — Suitable when the first beam level is placed at 400 mm or higher. Installed flush with the uprights, it provides protection for two frames simultaneously if the distance between frames is 250 mm. For wider gaps, single frame guards should be selected.
  • How Many Frame Guards do you need?
    •  Frame Guards are installed on exposed ends where equipment movement and handling operations take place, protecting frames from collisions. As a general guideline, one guard per frame is recommended to ensure safety in high-traffic areas.
    • Each frame requires one single frame guard. However, if two frames are positioned side by side with a gap of exactly 250 mm, a double frame guard may be used to protect both simultaneously. For gaps greater than 250 mm, individual single frame guards will be necessary.
  • What will I get in my order?
    •  Each Frame Guard is supplied unassembled, along with all components required to complete the unit in the quantity ordered. The package includes all necessary hardware and fasteners for installation. In addition, a warranty notice, a user manual, and a safety and inspection manual are provided with every order. No extra items or hardware is provided.
    • Installation support — Should you require assistance, our team is available to guide you through the installation process. Simply contact us, and we will respond at the earliest convenience
  • What is not included in my order?
    •  Please note that no PPE or safety gear is included with this product. Tools required for assembly, such as hammers or spanners, are not provided. Any components or accessories shown in the product images are for illustration purposes only and are not part of the order. Items not specifically listed above are not included.
    • Additionally, when placing an order for racks through the configurator, frame guards are not automatically provided. They must be added to your order separately.
  • The installation of a single guard typically requires two people and takes approximately 10-15 minutes. With experience, the installation time can be reduced further.
